About The Event
Anyone can make these! We use a pattern to cut out the cup shape. Then you can choose what design goes on the side. Texture can be pressed or carved into the clay or we can cut out shapes and add them to the surface for more dimension. Make the cups for your next holiday gathering. Or personalize for family members as gifts.
This clay class (14yrs +) gives students the opportunity to learn hand-building with clay. No prior clay experience necessary.
In this class we will make two (2) 12oz. cups with their own personalities. Then in about 2 weeks they will be ready for you to come back and glaze them. Then, after they are fired the second time, your cups will be ready to be picked up. Cost of materials and instruction is all included. Be sure to trim your nails before attending class as they can leave marks in the clay. If you're really into making sets of multiple cups I can set you up to make more on your own in solo studio time. Ask me for details about this if interested.
