We'll make 2 of these sweet slabs of clay that protect your counters or table from heat scorch. Or they can be placed under a plant as a protector as well. You can come in with your own shape in mind or use one of my 4 patterns. Click "More Info" for details. I promise to get a better picture soon.

About The Event
These are so much more fun than what you find in stores! Wewill make 2 trivets. I will provide 4 shape ideas, ( cat, fox, fish, or splat) but you are welcome to bring your own ideas as well! Your imagination is the limit on shape, they will end up being around 6"x6". After they are finally fired I will provide cork backing to give some cushion to the backs.
This clay class (12yrs +) gives participants the opportunity to learn hand-building with clay slabs. No prior clay experience necessary. Plan to come back in about 2 weeks to add color (glaze) -during one of our glazing nights. After it is fired, I will attach the cork (unless you would rather do it). Cost of materials and instruction is all included.
There are only 4 spots, so if you want to do the class with a group of friends, be sure to sign up close together. Don't hesitate to sign up as spots fill fast. Sign-up closes 24hrs before class. I can also host a private class. Please contact me @ artcuriousstudio@gmail.com for that info.
So, trim your nails (as they can leave many dents in the clay), wear old clothes, show up 5 MINUTES before your time slot and be ready to have fun!
