Note to Aleta's Students
It was wonderful to meet so many of you at Aleta's going away party. As a former student, I know how much Aleta will be missed.

I am going to be running the studio as a pottery incubator. This is a membership-based shared studio for a small number of potters who want to take their pottery journey to the next level without investing in their own studio (yet!). It also is a good fit for a potter like me, who prefers to work in a community-focused, collaborative space.
Essentially, it is based on the opportunity that Aleta gave me several years ago that allowed me to quickly progress as a potter. For a monthly fee, she gave me a shelf in her studio, firings, and access to all the tools I needed to experiment and grow. She also trained me how to use the kiln which invaluable. I walked away from that experience with the confidence I needed to purchase my own equipment and having built a small ceramics business.

At this time, I am not able to offer beginner-level classes or open studio hours like Aleta was. I hope that you will reach out to one of the other wonderful studios in our area if that is something you are interested in.

I will still offer space for rent in the kiln, though I have simplified the pricing model: Kiln Share

And please visit the Incubator page and reach out to me if the new model seems like a good fit for you.
